Charter Raceway Park

Beaver Dam, WI— July 11, 2009—Danny Lasoski has won at countless tracks from coast-to-coast with the World of Outlaws in his career, but one track missing from that list was Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. That all changed on Saturday night, as the 2001 World of Outlaws champion took the $10,000 victory at the high-banked 1/3-mile over Joey Saldana with a very large crowd in attendance.

Beaver Dam, WI—July 9, 2009—Short track racing and the state of Wisconsin have been synonymous for years and the World of Outlaws have been competing in the state since 1983. This weekend the series will make two stops in the Badger State with the first of those coming on Saturday, July 11 at Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam.

Beaver Dam, WI - Joey Saldana took to the outside rim of Charter Raceway Park and flew to the checkers on Kasey Kahne Night. Saldana and his teammates, Kasey Kahne and Craig Dollansky, took home the top three of the top five finishing positions in the feature race after battling the local Interstate Racing Association Outlaw Sprint stars on Tuesday night. Jeff Steenbergen held off a late race charge by Eric Barth to take home the Legends victory.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH: Looking at the results sheets, Brady Smith had a pretty successful Tri-State Late Model Challenge - with a fourth-place finish on Friday night at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., and a third-place finish on Sunday night at Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, Wis., he was the only driver in the top five both evenings.

But while Smith got himself back in rhythm after going six consecutive World of Outlaws Late Model Series events without a top-five finish, he clearly wasn't satisfied with his weekend. He felt he could have won both A-Mains.

World Of Outlaws PhotoWorld Of Outlaws PhotoBEAVER DAM, WI – May 21, 2009 – What a relief it is for Brady Smith to have the World of Outlaws Late Model Series stop at Charter Raceway Park in his homestate this Sunday night (May 24).

A resident of Solon Springs, Wis., Smith has been traipsing all over the country in his first season as a WoO LMS regular. Now he finally gets an event in his backyard.

Well, Charter Raceway Park is at least relatively close to Smith’s home.

“We still have about a four-and-a-half drive to get down there (to Beaver Dam),” said Smith, who hails from the far Northwest corner of Wisconsin. “But that’s nothing compared to how far we’ve had to drive to all these other tracks this year.”

Beaver Dam, WI—May 15, 2009-The stars will be out on Tuesday, June 2 at Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin for Kasey Kahne night at the always racy high-banked 1/3-mile, as the Bumper to Bumper/ IRA Outlaw Sprint Series will be in action, with three very special guests in attendance, all whom will strap into an 850-horsepower fire breathing winged sprint car for a full night of racing.

Leading the way will be the 29-year old NASCAR star who cut his teeth racing winged sprint cars in the Pacific Northwest. Kahne will be making his first start with the IRA and his second overall start the Charter Raceway Park, as he competed in a modified at the track a couple of years ago. The native of Enumclaw, Washington has 20 career winged sprint car wins across the country and will be looking for his first with the IRA.

The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series combines with the Badger Midgets this coming Saturday (May 2) night at Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. This is the only combined event scheduled for the two headliners at Charter this year. Beaver Dam's own Scotty Neitzel leads the IRA point chase into this event, while it's the first green flag of 2009 for Badger. A raindate has been secured for Sunday May 3rd if necessary. IRA is a ASA affiliated series. Come out to Charter Saturday for the best in Wisconsin open wheel action.

Beaver Dam, WI—April 22, 2009-- Kasey Kahne is coming to Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on Tuesday, June 2 for Kasey Kahne Night. He’ll not only be meeting and greeting fans, but he’ll have with him one of his 850-horsepower fire breathing winged 410-sprint cars to take on the best of the best from the Bumper to Bumper/ IRA Outlaw Sprint Series, as well as two special guests from the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Kasey Kahne Night will mark the NASCAR star’s first start in a sprint car in the state of Wisconsin in his career. He has raced just once in the Badger State, with that coming in a Midget back in 2000. It will also mark his first start with the IRA and his second overall appearance in a sprint car this season. Kahne has 20 career wins in winged sprint cars from coast to coast, cutting his teeth racing in the high powered machines in his home state of Washington and across the West Coast.

The Beaver Dam, Wisconsin area is certainly playing a major role with some great open wheel specials coming up. This past Saturday Scotty Neitzel opened up the IRA season with a win at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. This Saturday April 25th it's the IRA 410's and MSA 360's in a twin bill at Dodge again. Then on Sat May 2nd, the IRA moves 2 miles west down the road the banked third-mile Charter Raceway Park for a co-headlined show with the Badger Midgets. Lots of great racing for Wisconsin racing fans.... it should be noted that Charter has a raindate reserved for Sunday May 3rd for this highly anticipated annual event.
